Vermont Treehouse with Cedar Hot Tub on Walker Pond
Deep in the woods of northern Vermont, just a short drive from the Canadian border, we found one of the most peaceful Vermont treehouse stays imaginable.
Perched among tall pines and overlooking a pond, this treehouse felt like a quiet retreat far removed from the rest of the world.

The Vermont Treehouse on Walker Pond
I have always loved treehouses and cozy cabins, so staying in a Vermont treehouse had been on my wish list for years. My husband and I have been leaning into gifting experiences instead of things, and this trip ended up being one of our favorites.
It took us about three and a half hours to reach Newport, Vermont, with a few stops along the way to explore the Northeast Kingdom. Check in was at 4:00, and we arrived right on time, eager to soak up every minute.
We were surprised to find quite a bit of snow still on the ground and were thankful to have a truck for the long, winding driveway.
One thing I always wonder when booking an Airbnb is how private it will really feel. The photos can look beautiful, but you never know if there might be another house right next door.
Thankfully, this Vermont treehouse delivered. There was not another house in sight, just forest, water, and complete quiet.

Inside the Vermont Treehouse
The cabin exceeded every expectation. We crossed a wooden walkway to enter and stepped into a cozy sitting area next to the kitchen.
The kitchen in the Vermont treehouse had everything we needed without feeling cluttered. I was not expecting high end stainless appliances, or even a television, but both were there. The bathroom and shower were just off the main space, along with a door leading out to the deck.
A spiral staircase brought us up to the bedroom, which felt like a true treehouse retreat. The view over the pond was incredible, especially in the soft winter light. There was also a small DVD collection, perfect for a quiet night in.

Cedar Hot Tub Experience
Back outside was the crown jewel of the property, the cedar hot tub. There is nothing better than sitting in a hot tub while snow flakes flutter down. It was a sunny but chilly March weekend and soaking in that tub was heavenly.
The Vermont Treehouse was an impressive feat of engineering. I found myself admiring the structure as much as the setting. It took four years to build, and the craftsmanship is evident in every detail.

A Thoughtful Stay
The next morning, we woke up to find ingredients for Belgian waffles and fresh coffee waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel even more special.
We had breakfast in bed, watched a little more Netflix, and then headed back to the hot tub. Leaving the Vermont treehouse and returning to everyday life was not easy.

Things to Do Near The Vermont Treehouse
If you are looking to add a little adventure to your Vermont treehouse getaway, there are plenty of options nearby. Jay Peak Resort is just about 20 minutes away and offers excellent skiing in the winter and even has an indoor water park.
During the summer, a canoe is available at the property, making it easy to explore the pond right outside your door.
