The Nugget Couch Review: Why It’s the Best Purchase for Kids
The Nugget Couch might be the best purchase I have ever made for my kids. We have spent a lot of time at home lately, and like many families, boredom started to take over. I needed something that would channel that energy into creative play while saving my house from total chaos.
The Nugget Couch did exactly that.
Think of The Nugget Couch as the building blocks for the ultimate fort. When playtime is over, the foam pieces come together to form a functional couch. It is basically a toy that is always put away, which feels like a parenting win.
What Is The Nugget Couch?
The Nugget is made up of four separate pieces of foam. There is a thick rectangle, which can fold in half. Then a second piece that it is similar but thinner. A handle in the middle makes it easy to carry. The last two pieces are identical triangular shapes.
Each piece has a microsuede cover that zips on and off. The fabric is soft but very durable, which is important for something that gets used daily.
There are currently 17 color options, and new colors are released regularly. You can also purchase extra covers separately, which makes it easy to switch up the look or replace a well-loved cover.
One of the things I love most about The Nugget Couch is its multi-purpose. During movie nights, my kids drag it into the living room and use it as extra seating. During the day, it transforms into whatever their imagination dreams up.
The Nugget Couch. It has been a pirate ship, a ninja warrior course, and their safe zone in a game of floor is lava. It has turned into a dance stage, a castle, and even a cozy reading nook. The Nugget Couch configurations are as endless as their imagination.
Cleaning The Nugget Couch
One of the first nights we had The Nugget Couch, my youngest got sick and threw up all over it. It was not exactly the introduction I had hoped for.
I was convinced it would be a nightmare to clean, but it ended up being incredibly easy. The zippers go all the way around each cushion, so removing the covers was simple. I tossed them in the wash, hung them to dry, and by the next day, The Nugget Couch looked brand new.
For a product designed for kids, this is a huge win.
Why The Nugget Couch Is Worth It
We are pretty minimalist when it comes to toys. I would always choose experiences over things, so anything that takes up space in our home needs to earn it.
The Nugget Couch absolutely does.
It is one of the few items that all three of my kids can enjoy together. It encourages creativity, movement, and cooperative play. Instead of clutter, it brings real value to our daily routine.
Nugget Couch Configurations
The possibilities for Nugget Couch configurations are endless. We even created a separate post sharing all the different ways my kids have used The Nugget Couch for forts, obstacle courses, and more.
If you are looking for inspiration, definitely check that out. It is amazing to see how many ways this one piece of furniture can be used.
Is The Nugget Couch Worth It?
The Nugget Couch has become incredibly popular, and at one point there was a long wait time to get one. When I ordered ours, it took several months to arrive.
Now, shipping times have improved, and most Nugget Couches ship right away.
The current price is $249 with free shipping. There is also a 30-day return policy if you decide it is not the right fit for your family.
But honestly, I cannot imagine anyone returning The Nugget Couch. It has been one of the best purchases I have ever made for my kids, and it continues to get used every single day.
