Snow tubing is a fun and exhilarating winter activity. With five ski areas offering snow tubing in Massachusetts, it is easier than ever to zip down the slopes. We recommend calling ski areas in advance to check on snow conditions, age minimums and height requirements. Children generally must be 6 year old and at least 42 inches in height to participate. Waivers can usually be signed online to save time.
Guide to snow tubing in Massachusetts
1. Nashoba Valley Tubing Park
Nashoba Valley has up to up 18 lanes serviced by four lifts making it the largest tubing park in New England. It is also less that an hour’s drive from Boston. Tickets must be purchased in advance and sell out quickly. Tickets last for two hours and cost $42.
There is a lodge with a snack bar, full bar (beer, wine, spirits) with limited indoor seating. One Nashoba Valley tubes are allowed. No personal tubes or sleds. Only one person per tube.

2. Ski Ward Tubaslide
The Tubaslide at Ski Ward has 12 lanes and two lifts. Tickets must be purchased in advance. You can choose a one hour or a two hour option. Tubes are provided.

3. SKi Butternut
Recommended for ages 5+. One rider per tube (child must be able to ride in tube alone).
Tubing ticket pre-purchase is required to guarantee a reserved spot at the tubing center each day. Tubing Ticket are sold for specific 2-hour time slots. Tickets are being limited per session so please be sure to plan ahead and purchase in advance. Tubing Ticket are redeemed at the Tubing Center and we recommend arriving at least 5-10 minutes before your session begins with your tubing release of liability form filled out properly to ensure that you are able to have your full 2-hours. You will not be able to tube past your end time.
4. Bousquet Mountain Ski Area

With over 100 tubes, up to 10 tubing lanes, and a Carpet Lift that makes getting back to the top of the tubing hill easy, everyone in the family can enjoy tubing, with fire pits, cabanas and picnic tables to relax at between runs!
5. Berkshire East
Berkshire East has three 500′ long tubing lanes that are groomed to perfection! They strongly recommend making reservations as their tubing sessions typically sell out and they may not be able to accept walk ins.
