I had the opportunity to stay in a Getaway Cabin, which is a tiny house in the woods of New Hampshire. Click here to read about my experience. The cabin was located in Epsom, so I stopped in the state capital of Concord to wander the Main Street and peruse the shops on my way.
I found my new favorite pair of sandals at Simply Birkenstocks and fell in love with a store called Bonafide, which is an earth friendly department store filled with sustainable, organic, fair-trade items. I have been trying to ditch plastic all together so was really excited to find bees wrap and a bamboo utensil set that came with a glass straw. I always get a little treasure for my kids when I am away so I got them these little seed kits to plant a honeybee garden and a butterfly habitat garden. My boys are really getting into gardening so they will love these. My kitties are going to love the felt ball infused with catnip essential oils.
The Concord Food Co-op is a great place to grab any groceries you will need in the cabin and Live Juice had amazing smoothies. I highly recommend the “Trip to the Tropics” and all of it’s mango, pineapple, coconut, banana goodness. Gibson’s Bookstore has a nice café and a really great children’s section.
From there, I set off to the woods to totally unplug and reconnect with nature at my Getaway cabin just 30 minutes away from Concord.
