Visiting a pumpkin patch in the fall is a must for every family. We are very fortunate to live in Massachusetts where we have a long list of family farms to choose from.
I put together this list of the top 10 best pumpkin patches in MA which I will list from the Western part of the state to the East. Scroll down to see them mapped out.
I tried to spread them out so that wherever you live in the state, you won’t have to travel far. I also looked for farms that offer fun family activities such as hayrides, corn mazes and apple picking.

1. Ioka Valley Farm, Hancock, MA
Family fun activities: Family Play Area (outdoor farm-theme playground, 40 foot pipeline slide, adult pedal carts, tryke track, duck racer, mini-corn maze), Cow Train Ride, Pumpkin Sling Shop (water balloon slingshot game, try your best shot to win a Free Pumpkin).
2. Hicks Family Farm, Charlemont, MA
Family fun activities: scavenger hunt game in the corn maze, mini golf, visit farm animals. On Friday and Saturday nights in October, the corn maze becomes haunted!
3. Fletcher Farm, Southampton, MA
Family fun activities: The fall transforms the farm to one of the best pumpkin patch in Western Massachusetts! Corn stalks, mums, gourds, scarecrows, and hayrides are all here to enjoy.
4. Tougas Family Farm, Northborough, MA
Family fun activities: You could spend the better part of a day at this family farm. They offer hayrides out to the fields where you can pick your own apples and pumpkins. Feed the animals in the barnyard, play on the farm-themed playground and enjoy fresh homemade baked good such as apple cider doughnuts in the Farm Kitchen.
5. Wojcik’s Farm, Blackstone, MA
Family fun activities: After apple picking and pumpkin picking, you can challenge yourself to their five-acre corn maze. The design changes from year to year. There are also tractor rides and cider doughnuts.
6. Honey Pot Hill Orchards, Stow, MA
Family fun activities: This farm has apples and pears to be picked, feed the farm animals, enjoy a hayride and challenge yourself to the Monster Maze, which is the largest hedge maze in North America! If you make it out, reward yourself with cider doughnuts.
7. Parlee Farms, Tyngsborough, MA
Family fun activities: Besides the pick your own apples and pumpkins, kids can get a real feel for farm life. Young farmers (between 42″-55″ in in height) can drive a tractor around a track! Kids can also feed farm animals in the barnyard and watch the goats walk on a platform 20 feet up in the trees! If you have any energy left, get lost in the hay play maze (closed in 2021).
8. Smolak Farms, North Andover, MA
Family fun activities: The farm is open every day May through December and children’s activities are plentiful along with special treats inside the farm stand that are made with them in mind. Come for a morning or afternoon and relax in this beautiful country atmosphere enjoying good ol’ fashion fun! Some of the offerings are: Hay wagon rides, a fun-filled playground, friendly and interesting animals, duck races, wee wagons, pick your own fruit.
9. Connors Farm, Danvers, MA
Family fun activities: This is another family farm that you could spend an entire day at because the activities are endless. There is a farm themed play area where kids can ride pedal carts or trikes, bounce on a giant pillow, mine for gold or play in the corn cob beach. Kids and adults can take the Putnamville Railroad for a ride around the farm. Connors Farm is known for their 7 acre corn maze which becomes haunted at night. There are other nights when the farm has flashlight nights which are non-haunted.
10. Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury, MA
Family fun activities: Cider Hill Farm has pick your own fruit throughout the year. Kids can also feed the chickens (bring quarters), ride around the trike yard, play in a giant sandbox, and visit with the goats.
