I can’t end my series of posts about Barcelona without mentioning Luzia Restaurant- mainly because we spent a majority of our time there. Seriously- there were days were we ate three meals a day at Luzia.
The Luzia Restaurant is located just below where we stayed, Hotel 1898 on La Rambla. The first time I walked past, I was drawn right in. The decor there is very natural and oozes with ambiance.
We were there in December, so it was all decorated for Christmas. There was a large Christmas tree and an entire wall of glittery ornaments in every shade of green.
Luzia is an open kitchen with a wood oven. Brunch is served until noon and I loved how there was a big table of food set up so it made you feel as if you just returned home for family dinner.
We settled in for tapas each day and didn’t move for hours. I couldn’t get enough of the white wine sangria, which was served by the pitcher, and I am still dreaming about the patatas bravas. We never had a bad meal at Luzia and the wait staff couldn’t have been more friendly.
Next time you walk down La Rambla, be sure to wander in to Luzia Restaurant. I guarantee you won’t want to leave. Amazing food, great ambiance, chill music and a friendly staff will make you feel like you’re home. To visit their website, click here.
