Concord Main Street is a perfect place to walk, shop and eat, but a lack of good hotels kept us from coming to enjoy the area. The Hotel Concord changed all of that. This boutique hotel boasts 38 unique rooms in a prime location and even has a (free) covered parking garage so that you don’t have to hunt for a place to park in the busy downtown.
When I looked at the hotel, my only worry was that it was TOO nice for us. Would they be ok with kids running the halls? Turns out families are welcome with open arms and cribs are available upon request.
We arrived early, but were able to park in the garage and then head to Main Street for lunch. When we returned, we were greeted by a friendly concierge who gave us a list of area attractions and recommended eateries. We were given a card that gave us discounts at participating stores around town. We cashed in on free fresh handmade guacamole at Margaritas and discounted smoothies at Live Juice amongst other perks.
We headed up to our room and my jaw dropped when the door opened. With over 400 square feet, it was by far the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in.
The kids had plenty of space to play and lounge. We had two queen beds, a fold out couch, a large desk and a 65 inch flat screen television.
The bathroom was lined with marble tiles and had a walk in shower. I have always thought that hotel soap was such a waste because there was no way you would ever use an entire bar of soap in one night. Hotel Concord provides a bag for you to bring your soap home. Genius!
I loved the modern minimalist design of the rooms. There were a lot of thoughtful details that made this a luxury hotel: chocolates on the pillows, slippers by the beds, and a high tech lighting system.
Each floor has a large executive lounge equipped with bowls of fresh fruit and a fireplace.
There is a small independent movie theater downstairs called The Red River Theaters. Catch a flick and then burn off all that popcorn in the state of the art gym that is open 24 hours.
In the morning, we enjoyed a free breakfast that was included with our room. Even my picky eaters stuffed themselves. The kids were given activity books with colors and stickers so they could have happily stayed there all morning.
The Hotel Concord is a pristine luxury hotel with a perfect location. I loved that we could just walk out the front door to explore the Main Street. We went back and forth to shops and restaurants throughout our stay. There is a small “pocket-park” just across the way that the kids loved to play in.
Disclosure: The Hotel Concord generously provided this hotel room for us at no cost during our trip. All opinions are my own.
