A hot cocoa bar is such a fun way to warm kids up after a day of playing in the snow.
You know how it goes- you spend 30 minutes bundling them up only for them to be back inside with 3 minutes. Then you will have to repeat that whole process about 10 times throughout the day.
Hot cocoa bars are fun, festive and make a great holiday table display as well. You can make them big and extravagant or small and simple.
I will link to any of the products that I can. Please note that I am an Amazon associate so I many earn a small commission if you purchase something, but all of my opinions are completely my own.
First start with some cute mugs. Target is great for this. I found the most adorable kids sized mugs at William & Sonoma a few years back. They are no longer available, but they do have this set which is just so sweet. Another great place to find cute mugs is Anthopologie.
The sweets you can put out for a hot cocoa bar are pretty endless! Here is a list of my favorites.

How to display treats for a hot cocoa bar:
Once you have collected the goodies you want to put out, spread them out and take a look. Organize them into piles of what size container you will put them in. You will need an assortment of small bowls, plates and jars to hold all of the treats.
The Wondershop at Target is great for this as well. That is where I found the polar bear plate, snow man plate and red star bowls.
Mason jars are perfect for tall skinny treats like pirouettes or holding straws. You can tie red and white string around them to dress them up. Add a small scooper or spoon to each bowl.
You may want a cute tablecloth or a tray to put everything on. Cake stands are great for displaying goodies.
The Best Hot Chocolate
Last but not least, you will need some hot chocolate! Our favorite hot chocolate mix is by Silly Cow which is made with hot milk, not water. You also can’t go wrong with a packet of Swiss Miss. It just depends if you want to mix the chocolate powder with milk or water.
I also want to add that kids love taking part in the set up. It’s such a fun activity for them and they like to do a little taste test along the way.
Hot cocoa bars are fun and festive. Your kids will absolutely love it and as soon as that sugar kicks in, just throw them back outside for some more snow angels!
