Why the Four Seasons Orlando Is the Ultimate Disney Escape
The Four Seasons Orlando is a luxurious blend of elegance, relaxation, and fun. Located within the Walt Disney World Resort, it provides easy access to Disney theme parks while maintaining a tranquil atmosphere in a secluded, 26-acre lakeside setting.
Just walking into the Fours Seasons Orlando will take your breath away. We visited in December and were in awe of the beautiful Christmas decorations and life-sized gingerbread house. The grand staircase had glittering crystal chandeliers that led down to a row of palm trees.

The Four Seasons Orlando Review
At Journeys and Jaunts we are always seeking out special experiences for our children. Nobody welcomes children the way the Four Seasons Orlando does.
The kids had their own check-in station equipped with lollipops and drinks. They were also given a welcome gift and an Explorerโs Activity Guide that would lead them on a scavenger hunt around the resort. Once completed, they received gelato as a prize.
Children aren’t just welcome at the Four Seasons, they are treated like little global citizens of the world. There was a different level of respect given to them that I appreciate to my core.

Rooms at the Four Seasons Orlando
For a family of five, we required two rooms. We are used to stuffing into one room, so having ample space to spread out was a welcome change.
We had adjoining rooms which were connected in the most clever way. The two rooms were set into a little hallway and when the outer door is closed, it made a little apartment. The kids could easily run back and fourth between the rooms without ever having to go out to the main hallway.
The rooms at the Four Seasons are tastefully decorated, very spacious and have vaulted ceilings. Luxurious touches included marble bathrooms, deep soaking tubs, and plush bedding. At the end of each vacation, we always say we can’t wait to sleep in our own bed. Not this one.

I appreciated the closet space between the bedroom and the bathroom because we had a place to hang clothes and store suitcases. I liked not ever having to see a mess. There were Nespresso machines in each room and a high tech lighting system.
Lizzie could not get over the television in the bathroom. Andrew said that he completed a life goal after watching an entire movie from the tub.
Our rooms were located on the 15th floor which provided a perfect view over the lush property. We could see Epcot to the left and the Magic Kingdom to the right allowing us to watch two different fireworks displays from our balcony each night.

Each room had a king-sized bed and a fold out sofa. Our oldest son always gets relinquished to the fold out sofa and he is a good sport about it even though he never sleeps well. It’s also a hassle, because when we get into our room at night, we usually fold out a sofa bed and there are no sheets on it. We have to go hunt them down to make the bed. Not at the Four Seasons Orlando!
As part of the turn down service, housekeeping would come in and prepare his bed for him. The sofa bed had the same lush bedding as ours with plenty of pillows. Andrew would be ready to crash after a day at the parks and it was so appreciated to have a comfortable place for him to settle into after a long day.
Speaking of the turn down service, I always thought that was when housekeeping left mints on the pillows. At the Four Seasons Orlando, they would come in to tidy the room, give us fresh water and put slippers by the bed. They left different goodies each night such as essential oils to put in the bath or a little treat to watch the fireworks. The kids always looked forward to what it might be.
Another thing I really appreciated was that our rooms were so beautifully quiet. The last Disney resort we stayed at was so loud. One night our neighbors came in late and the walls were so thin, they may as well have been in our room. They were up talking all night and I could hear their entire conversation. At the Four Seasons Orlando, you could hear a pin drop at night.

Transportation to Disney Parks
We try to stay at a different Disney property each time we visit Orlando, so my concern was that staying at the Four Seasons Orlando would be inconvenient for reaching the parks. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
The Four Seasons Orlando is located just 10 minutes from the Magic Kingdom. There is a free shuttle service between the parks and there is even a Disney Concierge in the lobby for seamless vacation planning.
My kids are very into pin trading and we excited to see that there was a Disney pin board at the concierge desk. They would check for new pins every time we walked by.
As Four Seasons guests, we were able to take advantage of early entry into the parks just as if we were staying at any other premium Disney property. Tip: have your reservation linked to your My Disney Experience App before you enter the park for early entry.
Note: there is no free shuttle to Universal. We took an Uber. Universal is about a half hour away and the Uber cost $40.

Four Season Orlando Amenities
There are five pools at the Four Seasons Orlando, including an adults-only infinity pool, a family pool, and Explorer Islandโa water park with a lazy river, splash zone, and water slides. Each time we thought we had seen everything, we would turn a corner and discover a whole new part of the resort. We loved that there were so many little nooks around the resort that you could settle into and have complete privacy.

The lazy river was our favorite activity. It was so long and winding and the palm trees leaning over the river just added to the tropical feel. Especially in comparison to the Beach Club which we stayed at earlier this year. At Disney’s Beach Club, it was so crowded that we had a complete stranger’s tube touching ours at all times.
The Four Seasons property was so large that we could spread out and never even see another person.

The attendants were so kind and, well, attentive. If they saw us put our things down, they would come and put towels and a pitcher of water by our table.
In the evening, you could always find us in the hot tub, watching the sunset. Lizzie loved the “dive-in theater” where she could watch a movie from the pool. They even came around with popcorn.

The Kids Club at the Four Seasons Orlando
At Kids For All Seasons, children ages 4-12 are offered complimentary programming featuring games, crafts, and outdoor activities. You could drop off your children with the staff or play along with them. It was such a fun room with an interactive volcano in it! Lizzie loved making friendships bracelets while listening to Taylor Swift, of course.

There are so many fun things for kids to do at the Four Seasons Orlando. At the Hide Out Game Room, they played fooseball. There were pool tables, a movie area and video game room. The pool area outside had water volleyball and basketball. There was even a rock wall and several water slides.

Dining Options at the Four Seasons Orlando
There are so many things that set the Four Seasons Orlando apart from other Disney properties. A big one would be the food. Disney food is so expensive and after a while it all tastes the same. My husband always says he has never had a memorable meal at Disney and we have eaten at the best restaurants. I will never forget eating at Ohana. Our kids ate a few chicken fingers and our bill was over $300.
We started each day at Lickety Split. This little cafe had great healthy options for when you needed to grab something on the way to the park, but it was also a lovely place to sit and enjoy a meal on the balcony. The kids had fresh muffins, bagels or a parfait while we loved the avocado toast and delicious coffee.
The Four Seasons Orlando actually has the best character dining in all of Disney World. Kids can enjoy the Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & his Friends at Ravello.
Goofy, Mickey and Minnie will all make an appearance at your table for pictures and autographs. They take their time with each child and there is even a photographer to capture the memories. The photos are included with the breakfast.

Reservations are required and I would recommend booking far in advance because it could sell out. The breakfast at Ravello is a buffet with endless options of delicious food. I enjoyed the omelette bar and the kids of course went for pancakes and French toast. The cost of the buffet is $48 per adult and $28 per child.
For lunch, we almost always ate at PB&G which is the pool bar and grill. You can sit down in this open air restaurant or lounge by the pool and have food brought to you. We usually hung out in lounge chairs while the kids splashed away.
I would also highly recommend trying a strawberry daiquiri in a coconut. There is just something about sipping a drink out of a coconut that feels like vacation.

On our first night, we knew everyone would be exhausted, so we went down to Ravello to try their world famous pasta. They fly in their flour from Italy! There is a great kids menu and the best tiramisu we have ever had. Ravello is the most casual option for families, while it is still upscale.
Capa is the Four Season Orlando’s Michelin-starred restaurant serving Spanish-influenced cuisine. Located on the 17th floor, you can even enjoy the fireworks while you dine.
We took advantage of in-room dining most nights as the kids were just too exhausted for anything else. It was incredible. They would wheel a nice table right into the room and set out their meals. We could just relax with a glass of wine on the patio while the kids watched a movie.
I also wanted to mention that you can order your breakfast to be delivered to your room at a certain time which is a great option if you have an early park morning.

Spa and Golf
There are some fabulous amenities we were unable to enjoy due to time constraints but I still wanted to mention. Four Seasons has a full-service spa offering treatments like facials and massages, along with a tranquil adults-only outdoor relaxation area.
The 18-hole Tranquilo Golf Course, a certified Audubon sanctuary, is perfect for golf enthusiasts.

Whenever we have stayed at premium Disney properties, there is a huge price tag but when it comes down to it, the rooms are no different than any other hotel. Sure there are a few more Mickeys plastered around, but for $800 a night, you could be anywhere. At the Four Seasons Orlando, you are getting a true luxury experience.
I would recommend downloading the Four Seasons App before your trip. The chat feature was invaluable during our stay for making or changing dining reservations, asking questions about transportation and park opening hours.

Whether youโre visiting for a family Disney adventure or a romantic getaway, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando combines top-notch service with unmatched amenities, ensuring a memorable stay. It is possible that we have ruined our children, but in the very best possible way.
