There are nearly 100 acres of open fields for running, two rivers for cooling off, and a large pond for swimming. There are three parking areas that provide access to Callahan State Park MA, but if you are visiting specifically for the off leash dog area, you will want to head to the south entrance at 311 Millwood Street in Framingham, MA.

From there, you will cross a large open field before reaching Packard Pond, one of the most popular spots in the park. It is a great place for dogs to swim and cool off, especially on warm days.

It is important to know that more than 85 percent of visitors to the park have off leash dogs. If your dog is not comfortable around other dogs, this is something to consider before visiting.
