There is nothing better than getting lost in a book. Books are great for the imagination and help kids learn. One good rule is that you should enjoy reading the book as well. As much as my daughter loves to read Pinkie Pie Throws a Party, we do try to avoid character books. Here is a list of our favorite children’s books to read each night. The list is made up of links to the books on Amazon in case you want to check them out.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
Board Books for Baby:
That’s not my Fox (This is such a great series for babies because they can touch a feel)
I Kissed the Baby (This was each on of my kid’s favorite books to read)
Fish Eyes: A Book you can Count on
Young Readers:
The Old Lady who Named Things (I literally can’t get through this book without tearing up)
Secrets of the Rainforest (When you shine a flashlight on the back of the pages, hidden images appear)
Llama Llama Time to Share (We love all of the Llama Llama books)
The Little Mouse, The Red Rips Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear
Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening
Chapter Books:
Finding a few classic stories is important. You don’t want to have too many books. Repetition is actually good for children. We will continue to add to this list as we find new favorites. If there are children’s books that we should add to the list, please let me know in the comments below.
