Best Airbnb in Rome Italy: A Dream Stay Near the Pantheon

Location: Rome, Italy

There were a few things at the top of my list when searching for the best Airbnb in Rome Italy. A central location was essential so we could walk to the main attractions. I also wanted a terrace where we could sit outside and sip wine. Lastly, I was looking for that unmistakable Italian charm.

I found exactly what I was looking for in the Pantheon Stylish Attic, which truly felt like the best Airbnb in Rome Italy for our stay.

Seamless Arrival Experience

This Airbnb is managed by RomeLoft, and the entire experience was incredibly smooth from start to finish. They even arranged my airport transfer. It cost about 10 Euros more than a standard taxi, but after a long travel day and arriving alone in a new country, it was worth every penny for the convenience.

I was greeted at the airport by a driver holding my name on a card. He helped with my luggage and drove me directly to the apartment, about 30 minutes from the airport to central Rome.

Once we arrived in the piazza, I was met by the key holder who walked me to the flat, gave a full tour, and explained everything from the heating and cooling system to the WiFi. We stayed connected via WhatsApp, which made it easy to ask questions throughout our stay.

Why This Is the Best Airbnb in Rome Italy

The apartment itself was the perfect size and layout. The living room had a comfortable couch and television, making it a nice place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

The kitchen was compact but fully equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove, and dishwasher. We had good intentions to cook our meals to save money, but in the end I think all we actually used were the wine glasses. As they say… “When in Rome!”

The terrace, accessed from the kitchen, was one of my favorite features. Even though we visited in November and had some rainy weather, it was still a beautiful space to relax.

The master bedroom featured a king-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom. The glass bathroom doors gave us a laugh, but the space still felt private and comfortable. Towels were provided, and I especially appreciated the towel warmer.

Upstairs, a staircase led to a loft area with a queen-sized bed. If traveling with kids, this would be such a fun space for them.

An Unbeatable Location in Rome

The location is what truly makes this the best Airbnb in Rome Italy. The apartment sits in Piazza di Pietra, surrounded by the impressive Corinthian columns of the Temple of Hadrian, dating back to 145 AD.

By chance, we discovered a nightly light show in the piazza at dusk. Set to music, it was such a memorable experience and something we looked forward to each evening.

Right nearby is Enoteca VinoVip, a wonderful shop offering Italian delicacies and tastings. It is a great place to pick up souvenirs or enjoy a quick snack.

We also loved Salotto42, a beautiful bar covered in greenery where we enjoyed aperitivo and cocktails while watching the light show.

Walk Everywhere from This Airbnb

One of the biggest advantages of staying at the best Airbnb in Rome Italy is how walkable everything is. We were located right between the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, both less than a five-minute walk away.

Being so close meant we could easily visit these iconic landmarks at different times of day, including seeing the Trevi Fountain lit up at night or the Pantheon in the rain.

Each morning, we walked to Santโ€™ Eustachio Il Caffรจ, often called one of the best coffee spots in the world. Piazza Navona was also just a short stroll away.

The Pantheon luxury terrace attic checked every box for us. It had a terrace, beautiful Italian details like exposed beams, and an unbeatable central location.
